My work is, in its essence, topical political and social satire. My most recent paintings and drawings read as fictional sardonic scenarios that are meant to suggest some small hint at truth that is worthy of our attention and deeper consideration.
Many of my more labored paintings examine America’s class structure by focusing on the dysfunction and folly of the underclass. At times, my characters manifest fantastical pathological conditions that become outward expressions of psychopathological states. Acting as a form of social critique and self-reflection, the work comments on restrictive and unjust social conventions.
