Seth Goodman

I draw inspiration from the social and political dysfunction of our times often speaking through a lens shaped by class structure. I inject a sardonic sense of folly into my characters and aim to reveal truths hidden behind the topical shifts of the day.

Referencing the 18th and 19th century satirists, William Hogarth and James Gillray, I merge an episodic format with text that reads as poetic prose. Ultimately, I am interested in depicting some of the most pressing concerns of the American experience without getting bogged down in a swamp of moralism.
